Road repairs to southbound carriageway of the A1

Road repairs to southbound carriageway of the A1

The Highways Authority will be carrying out essential carriageway resurfacing work on the southbound carriageway of the A1 combined with replacement / renewal of the existing safety barrier system.

They will start this work on 14th May and expect to finish on 8th June 2018. To minimise disruption, they will work overnight generally between 8pm and 6am and will work predominantly on the southbound carriageway.... Read More »

Closure of Water Lane for road works - Update

Rutland County Council have informed us that the closure will now be from 4th to 22nd June. This will be for repairs to the bridge over the A!. The road will be closed from the crossroads and a diversion will be in force.

People are being called by Asian sounding lady, from HMRC, to say that the person has not paid tax on their pension and the case is in court today and they must make payment.

This call is then supposedly put through to senior manager Mr Ralph Buck, also Asian sounding man, who then goes on to say he is trying to help them sort this out, but that if they don't the Police will be coming to arrest them... Read More »
